My journey started in march of 2019, but actually it all started a long time ago.
A couple of years ago I started feeling that my career as a teacher wasn’t stimulating me enough and you could say I had a bit of a crisis in life. But I didn’t know what to do besides teaching. I felt I was stuck. I got past the crisis but I was still not content with my work.
Around new years of 2019 I had an epiphany and also a flashback to something Steve Jobs said in his speech at Stanford in 2005. He said that you can’t connect the dots looking forward, only looking backwards.
I have always had an interest in making stuff. An old colleague once told me I was a “thousandartist” — someone who just does a lot of things she said. And I realised she was right. I have learned new things all the time — and at the time of learning I feel like the thing I am doing, I am going to do for the rest of my life, whether it be knitting, guitar playing, chess och leather craft. A couple of weeks later I’d be fed up with that thing, looking for something new. That being said, I have never been really good at anything, just a little good at everything.
Going like this for a couple of years made me equipped with enough tools and knowledge to start doing my own projects. I use the little knowledge I have to create things. And with Steve Jobs words in my head I realised that what I should do is start a youtube-channel to show other people what I do. And connected to that I should start a business.
Going forward my plan is to keep doing what I do on youtube, but also expand this into something more. What that is, only the future knows.
I am thrilled to be on this journey, where ever it may lead. And I am truly grateful to everyone taking part in that journey.
