This is a mini course explaining my process of making 3d-printed boxes with cutouts for your tools.
The main goal of this course is to help you actually design and 3D print your own custom drawer boxes — not just to follow along. And as a bonus, you’ll naturally pick up some key Fusion skills along the way that you can use in many other projects. I do want to stress however - this isn't a course in Fusion but we will go through a bunch of the tools in it to create our boxes.
In this course you will learn
- how to make simple storage boxes
-
how to make more advanced storage boxes with cut outs from shapes
- using photos
- by measuring
- how to make stackable boxes.
- How to make custom Gridfinity boxes.
- You will also get a glimpse of the Shaper trace and the 3d scanner as optional tools.
We’ll use a few basic tools:
- Autodesk Fusion (free for personal use)
- a measuring tool like a caliper or ruler.
- a smartphone.
- a 3D printer to print your creations.
- Optional - Shaper Trace (for converting drawings to SVG)
- Optional - 3D scanner
- Optional - 3d printed radius gauge
What you get:
